Jamie McIntyre has commenced Federal Court proceedings (WAD344/2026) against Nationwide News Pty Limited (News Corp Australia), seeking $2,743,000 in damages for alleged character-assassination articles published in the Herald Sun, Daily Telegraph and The Australian.
McIntyre alleges that News Corp relied on information from people he describes as a “criminal syndicate” that allegedly defrauded his company of $6–7 million. He contends the resulting articles were based on false and misleading claims designed to destroy his reputation.
